Pokemon Go Azelf, Mesprit, And Uxie Raid Hour: Start Times And How To Catch

Pokemon Go‘s Water Festival is back again for another year, and as part of the event, Niantic is giving players around the world another chance to catch a rare Legendary Pokemon. Tomorrow, August 28, the Legendary lake trio Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie will return to Raid Battles in their respective regions–but they’ll only be around for a very limited time.

From 6-7 PM local time, the Legendary Psychic Pokemon will appear again as Raid Bosses, giving you only an hour to add them to your collection. To help you prepare, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know about this week’s Legendary Raid Hour below, from what regions each Legendary will appear in to battling tips for when you challenge them.

Which Region Are The Legendaries In?

All three of the Legendary Psychic Pokemon will return for the Legendary Raid Hour, but each one will only appear in specific regions, so which one you encounter during the event will depend on where you live. You can see which Legendary is exclusive to each region below.

Americas and Greenland

  • Azelf

Europe, Africa, and Middle East

  • Mesprit

Asia-Pacific

  • Uxie

How To Catch

No Caption Provided

Before you can catch the Legendary Pokemon, you’ll first need to visit a Gym that’s hosting a five-star Raid and challenge them to a battle. Fortunately, there will be no shortage of Legendary Raids happening during the aforementioned hour, so it should be easy to find a Gym to visit. Like other Legendaries, Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie have high CP, so you’ll need to team up with several other players in-person if you’re hoping to battle them. Once the Legendaries have been defeated, everyone who participated in the Raid will receive a handful of Premier Balls along with the chance to catch them.

Best Pokemon To Use Against Azelf, Mesprit, And Uxie

All three Legendary Pokemon are pure Psychic-types, so regardless of which one you encounter, you’ll generally want to use the same strategy. Dark, Ghost, and Bug Pokemon all have an advantage against Psychic-types, so your best bet will be to bring along Giratina, Tyranitar, Houndoom, Weavile, and Scizor. Gengar will also deal super-effective damage against the Legendaries, but thanks to its secondary Poison typing, it’ll receive super-effective damage from them back.

Despite their similar appearance, Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie all have slightly different stats and movesets, which you should be aware of before you challenge them. Azelf deals the most damage but is the weakest defensively; Uxie excels at defense; and Mesprit falls between the two of them. You can find more tips on how to catch the Legendaries on the official Pokemon website.

Other Bonuses

While Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie will only be around for a limited time, you’ll have until August 30 to take advantage of the Water Festival’s other bonuses. Throughout the event, Water-type Pokemon like Magikarp, Wailmer, and others are spawning in the wild more often than normal, and if you’re near a body of water, you’ll have a greater chance to find the following Pokemon:

  • Wartortle
  • Poliwhirl
  • Seaking
  • Lapras
  • Qwilfish
  • Mantine
  • Lotad
  • Feebas
  • Piplup
  • Buizel
  • Finneon

Additionally, Shiny versions of Carvanha and Barboach are appearing in the wild, and Water Pokemon are more likely to hatch from eggs. Separately, Niantic is soon rolling out a set of Ultra Bonuses for the game, which includes the arrival of Gen 5 Pokemon. The Mythical Jirachi is also available through a new Special Research questline called A Thousand-Year Slumber.

Fortnite Locations: Where To Find Claptrap’s Missing Eye And How To Return It (Borderlands Event)

Fortnite‘s 10.20 update has arrived, and it’s kicked off a limited-time Borderlands crossover event. From now until September 10, all Fortnite: Battle Royale players can take on a special set of challenges that will unlock Borderlands-inspired cosmetic rewards, even if you haven’t purchased a Season X Battle Pass.

Most of the Borderlands challenges are fairly straightforward and have you searching for loot or eliminating opponents in the new Pandora Rift Zone, but there are a couple that will require a bit more legwork, like the task to find Claptrap’s missing eye and then return it to him. If you’re unsure of where to look, we’ve put together the map and guide below to help you complete the challenge.

Where To Find Claptrap’s Eye

First things first: like the other Borderlands crossover challenges, this mission is centralized in the new Pandora Rift Zone, which is located in the desert to the south of Paradise Palms. This particular challenge involves two steps: first you’ll need to track down Claptrap’s missing eye, and then once you’ve collected it, bring it back to him.

Claptrap himself can be found alongside the road near the westernmost entrance of the desert, while his eye is hidden inside a building to the south; once you make your way inside the correct building, you’ll spot it in front of a television. You can see exactly where Claptrap and his eye are located on the map below.

How To Complete The Challenge

Once you know where to go, all you need to do is collect the eye and bring it back to the robot. If you need a visual guide, you can watch us complete the challenge in the video above. Once you’ve returned the eye, you’ll unlock a Crunk Bunny spray for your troubles, and you’ll be another step closer to unlocking the Mayhem wrap–the reward for completing all six of Fortnite’s Borderlands challenges.

As previously mentioned, the Borderlands crossover event will be live until September 10, so you have until then to complete its related challenges. Most are self-explanatory and can be cleared easily with enough persistence, but the only other one that may give you some trouble is to search different Vault Symbols. You can see where those are located in our Vault Symbol locations guide. You can find helpful tips for other challenges from this season in our full Fortnite Season X challenges roundup.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Episode 1 DLC Is Free On PS4, Xbox One, And PC

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has graced players with some free content on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. From now until September 1, you can grab the action-RPG’s first DLC chapter, the Fields of Elysium, for free.

Part of the Fate of Atlantis expansion pack–which also includes two additional DLC chapters–the Fields of Elysium sends Kassandra on a quest to Elysium to face off against Persephone and uncover a mystery surrounding the city of Atlantis. While the other two DLC chapters–Torment of Hades and Judgment of Atlantis–are not sold separately, the entire Fate of Atlantis expansion pack is 50 percent off, slashing the cost to $12.50 USD. Alternatively, you can pick up the season pass with all DLC for $20.

Target is also having a huge sale on Xbox One digital games, with a handful of titles seeing a 20 percent discount. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and its season pass are both part of the sale, as well as other Xbox One exclusives like Forza Horizon 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay 2.

In our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey review, we said, “While its large-scale campaign–clocking in at over 50 hours–can occasionally be tiresome, and some features don’t quite make the impact they should, Odyssey makes great strides in its massive and dynamic world, and it’s a joy to venture out and leave your mark on its ever-changing setting.”

Some links to supporting retailers are automatically made into affiliate links, and GameSpot may receive a small share of those sales.

Astral Chain: How Long To Finish And File Size

Astral Chain is the latest from developer Platinum Games and it brings a fresh take on stylish action exclusively to the Nintendo Switch. Now that some of us have played through the entire game, we can share just how long it takes to finish. Of course, your mileage may vary since time to completion depends on your playstyle and the amount of optional content you engage with, but here we can give a general range.

As the reviewer of Astral Chain for GameSpot, I spent a total of 35 hours with the game to roll credits. This included a full playthrough on the Platinum Standard difficulty, an earnest effort to find and finish every side quest possible, and plenty of time spent exploring for leftover hidden missions–side quests also factor into your overall mission grade. I spent an extra five hours in an attempt to find the remaining content within the story chapters, and try out the hardest difficulty (Platinum Ultimate).

You may want to rescue all the cats as well, which might be hard, but it’ll warm your heart.Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5Gallery image 6Gallery image 7Gallery image 8Gallery image 9Gallery image 10

Astral Chain features an achievement list called “Orders” which act as challenges to complete throughout the game. There are 185 of them, and while they’re not essential, they grant you rewards like upgrade materials, items, or new cosmetic options for your character. Clearing out that list will add an inordinate amount of time to your playtime as some challenges require story completion on the hardest difficulty, S+ ranks on everything, among other things.

The game would be much shorter if you simply go through the main story questline without looking at anything else, to which I would estimate to around 15 hours–you would be doing the bare minimum, however.

As for install size, Astral Chain requires 9.8 GB of storage space on your Switch or SD card if you plan on purchasing the digital version of the game.

Astral Chain launches this Friday, August 30 exclusively on Nintendo Switch. To get up to speed on it, be sure to read my Astral Chain review in which I say, “Astral Chain’s shortcomings don’t overshadow what it does best. It’s an incredible execution of a fresh take on Platinum Games’ foundation, standing among the stylish-action greats. And its own anime-inspired swagger makes fights all the more exhilarating.”

Fortnite Vault Symbol Locations: Where To Search Different Vault Symbols For Borderlands 3 Challenge

Epic has kicked off a Borderlands 3 crossover event in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Not only are there new Borderlands cosmetics to purchase from the in-game store, there’s a variety of special, limited-time challenges to complete and Borderlands-inspired rewards to unlock–and unlike the standard weekly challenges, these are available to everyone, even if you don’t own a Season X Battle Pass.

Most of the challenges are fairly straightforward and involve searching for loot or eliminating opponents within the Pandora Rift Zone, but one of the trickier tasks asks you to search different Vault Symbols. If you’re not sure where those can be found, we’ve put together this map and guide to help you out.

Where To Find Vault Symbol Locations

The Pandora Rift Zone is located in the desert, to the south of Paradise Palms, so you’ll first need to head there to take on this challenge. The Vault Symbols you need to search for are the Borderlands logo, and they can be found spraypainted on various objects around the area. There are several scattered around the Rift Zone, but you only need to find three of them to complete the challenge. We’ve marked down a few of the ones we’ve found on the map below.

No Caption ProvidedGallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

How To Complete The Challenge

Once you know where to look, all you need to do is track down three of the Vault Symbols and interact with them. You don’t need to find all three within the same match, but you do need to search different symbols in order for your progress to count, so you can’t return to the same one in different matches. Once you’ve searched all three symbols, you’ll unlock a Vault Symbol banner.

The Borderlands crossover event is running until September 10, so you have until then to complete all of these special Borderlands challenges. If you manage to complete all six before the end of the event, you’ll earn a special wrap for your troubles. The event kicked off as part of Fortnite’s 10.20 update, which also introduced the new Shield Bubble item to the game. If you need help completing any other challenges from this season, be sure to check out our ongoing Season X challenges roundup for more tips and guides.
