Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Graphics Improvements Announced

Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally coming to PC, and Rockstar has done a lot of work to make the new version shine on computers. Rockstar shared a number of new details on Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC version today, including graphical improvements and new features, in addition to the Minimum and Recommended requirements (see them here).

Starting with the graphical and technical enhancements, Rockstar says these include better draw distances, “higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion” that should help day and night scenes look better, and snow trails that are higher quality. Additionally, the PC version has higher resolution shadows, better-looking reflections, and tessellated tree textures. What’s more, new grass and fur textures–for every plant and animal in the game–have been added.

Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC also includes support for better frame rates and 4K (and beyond) and HDR. Additionally, it features multi-monitor support and widescreen options.
