Rocket League Gets Stranger Things Collaboration, Other Halloween Events

Rocket League is getting a collaboration with Stranger Things, as part of its annual Haunted Hallows event. The limited-time event will let you obtain items inspired by the Netflix series from October 14 through November 11.

The event centers on the Farmstead, which has been turned from its usual whimsical style to a spooky Upside Down-inspired map. Playing on the revised Farmland will earn you Candy Corn to spend in the Haunted Hallows Event Store. It’s full of autumn-inspired designs including special Hawkins Laboratory designs.

That means you can collect cosmetics like a Camp No Where topper to give your car a look like Dustin’s hat, a Demogorgon player banner, and a Scoops Ahoy avatar border. Those join other, more traditional autumnal designs like decals decorated with fall foliage and candy wrappers. There are also special Golden Pumpkins with items from the Accelerator, Velocity, and Triumph Crates.

Rocket League developer Psyonix recently announced a new Blueprints system to replace loot crates starting in December. As part of the changeover, keys will be converted into credits, which will serve as the new unlocking mechanism.
