LoL: SK Gaming Completes Roster For 2021 With Treatz Signing

Former TSM support Erik “Treatz” Wessén is returning to Europe to fill out the SK Gaming roster for 2021.

Having signed for Team SoloMid Academy in 2018, Treatz moved to TSM’s LCS roster in July 2020. Treatz was picked up from the European regional scene straight into the LCS, having previously played for Gentside, Movistar Riders, Dark Passage, and Team ROCCAT.

Treatz was not given much time on the TSM squad, and though he did help the team qualify for Worlds, he was not used at Worlds 2020 as Vincent “Biofrist” Wang was used in his place. TSM was unable to pick up a single victory at Worlds, going 0-6 in groups, with Biofrost having a particularly poor time.

Treatz is the final part of the SK Gaming 2021 LEC roster. He’ll join new signings Jean “Jezu” Massol from Misfits Premier, LDLC jungler Kristian “TynX” Hansen, and exciting mid lane prospect  Ersin “Blue” Gören from 1907 Fenerbahçe. They’ll join existing player Janik “Jenax” Bartels who is expected to remain the top laner after signing a contract extension.

SK Gaming just missed out on Worlds in 2020 after finishing 5th place in the Summer Split after losing out to Schalke 04 0-3 in Summer Playoffs. SK Gaming finished Spring Split in 9th place, so will be looking to make improvements into the 2021 season.

With this confirmed, it means that former SK Gaming players Juš “Crownshot” Marušič, mid laner Dirk “ZaZee” Mallner, and jungler Kim “Trick” Gang-yun will now be looking for new teams to join.

LoL: SK Gaming Signs TynX, Blue, And Jezu

SK Gaming looks set to make some big changes to their roster after missing out on Worlds in 2020.

SK Gaming is looking to the rookies for 2021 as they sign former Misfits Premier bot laner Jean “Jezu” Massol, LDLC jungler Kristian “TynX” Hansen, and exciting mid lane prospect Ersin “Blue” Gören from 1907 Fenerbahçe. All three are considered some of the most exciting prospects in Europe. They will look to improve on a disappointing year for SK Gaming.

These signings mean that current SK Gaming players Juš “Crownshot” Marušič, mid laner Dirk “ZaZee” Mallner, and jungler Kim “Trick” Gang-yun will be looking for new homes for the 2021 season with all three out of contract.

Being the mid laner, Blue is the standout player. Rumored and linked to a number of teams in the LEC and LCS, Blue was promoted from the Fenerbahçe Academy in May. He has been a key player for them in the months since.

TynX was a French LFL champion for the 2020 Spring Split and took the Spring European Masters event that followed. Jezu, who also plays in the French LFL for Misfits Premier finished third in both Spring and Summer Splits. He was part of the roster than defeated GamersOrigen 3-0 in the LFL 2020 Finals.

The three will join an SK Gaming side looking to improve their fortune in 2021. The full roster is yet to be confirmed. Only Janik “Jenax” Bartels is expected to stay with the roster.

LoL: 100 Thieves Signs Closer, FBI And Huhi For 2021

100 Thieves is adding three big names to their LoL squad.

As the LoL free agency period opens up, it was announced that 100 Thieves is bolstering their LCS lineup with three new players. Can “Closer” Çelik, Ian Victor “FBI” Huang and Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun are all joining from Golden Guardians. They’ll be taking the spaces currently occupied by Juan Arturo “Contractz” Garcia, Liyu “Cody Sun” Sun and Philippe “Poome” Lavoie-Giguere.

During the 2020 season, 100 Thieves struggled to truly make a mark on the scene. Notably though, they did finish third in the Spring Split’s regular season. Despite that, they never made the deep playoff runs they had hoped for. Because of this, changes were expected and these ones should make fans happy.

Closer and FBI had breakout 2020 seasons, putting up impressive performances throughout the year even when they weren’t put in good positions. Their stats throughout the year were equally as impressive. These two are very strong players and will be forces to be reckoned with. On the other hand, Huhi is a legacy LCS player who has seen his fair share of success. He might not be as exciting as the other two but is a solid shotcaller for any team he’s on. He also has the experience needed to help lead a team.

With these three signings, 100 Thieves look set to have a better 2021 season and will definitely be a team to watch. Be sure to follow ESTNN to keep up to date with all the latest LCS and LEC roster changes!

LoL: Evil Geniuses Maintain Jiizuke As Starting Mid

Evil Geniuses look set to have locked in their 2021 LCS starting roster after sticking with Daniel “Jiizuke” Di Mauro.

Jiizuke will join up with three new signings Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong from Team Liquid and Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui from the TSM Academy and  Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun from FlyQuest. Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnson is expected to remain as the sides starting jungler. This means that once confirmed, Evil Geniuses has locked down their 2021 LCS roster.

Jiizuke signed for EG at the end of 2019 and had a mixed season with the side. The signing of Impact and IgNar, however, is likely to play into his more aggressive style. These could see Jiizuke become the player EG wanted when they signed him. Towards the end of the Summer Split, EG bought in Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer as they looked to push for Worlds, however, he was not retained for 2021 so Jiizuke will now remain.

Jiizuke spent two amazing years at Team Vitality, with the title “Italian Stalion” seeing him become a standout amongst the talented European mid lane pool. Since joining the LCS, Jiizuke has seemingly become a forgotten man, despite his style seemingly fitting perfectly with EG’s “evil” style.

Regardless, EG is now locked in, and with coach Peter Dun looking to get his magic working in the LCS, EG could well be an outside contender for a spot in Spring Split playoffs even at this early stage.

LoL: FlyQuest Signs Deftly And Josedeodo To Complete LCS Roster

The FlyQuest roster is filled out nicely with two new additions.

Tonight it was revealed that ADC Matthew “Deftly” Chen and jungler Brandon Joel “Josedeodo” Villegas are joining FlyQuest for 2021. This is a very exciting move and it completes all five members of the FlyQuest squad.

Deftly has played in the LCS for years, bouncing between LCS and Academy spots here and there. He’s definitely a player worthy of the position though, as the amount of potential he’s shown in recent history is exemplary. Most recently he played with Evil Geniuses Academy.

Meanwhile, Josedeodo is coming to the LCS from the LLA, Latin America’s LoL league. He’s departing Rainbow7 for his chance to shine in NA. Just a few weeks ago, Josedeodo played on the Worlds stage and turned heads all over the world. With his impressive jungle performances, there was a lot of talk about him moving into 2021. Finally, fans know where he will be.

These two signings are accompanied by the signings of Cristian “Palafox” Palafox, Eric “Licorice” Ritchie and David “Diamond” Bérubé for FlyQuest. There’s a lot of potential with this squad, so be sure to keep an eye on them next season!

LoL: Evil Geniuses Sign IgNar From FlyQuest

Evil Geniuses has made their first move of the transfer window as they sign support Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun from FlyQuest.

The signing of IgNar means that Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam will now be available in the free agency market. The move will see FlyQuest lose yet another part of their major Worlds 2020 roster, as they’re set for a refresh in 2021.

IgNar joins Evil Geniuses with a huge CV of experience, having played for Schalke 04, bbq Olivers, Misfits Gaming, and KT Rolster. IgNar has played around the world and will be a major pickup for Evil Geniuses as they look to make big changes for 2021. Not much is known about Evil Geniuses plans for 2021, though with the signing of a new head coach in former MAD Lions coach Peter Dun, they’ll certainly have the backroom staff to support it.

With the sale of Heo “Huni” Seun-hoon to TSM, Evil Geniuses was also able to sign top laner Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong from Team Liquid and Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui from the TSM Academy. The only lane left to resolve for Evil Geniuses now is the mid lane with Daniele “Jizuke” di Mauro unlikely to remain with the roster. Evil Geniuses are one of the sides possibly linked with the signing of Tim “Nemesis” Lipovsek from Fnatic.

Regardless, Evil Geniuses has the making of a solid roster but we won’t know the full extent of what they have planned for a little while yet.

LoL: Evil Geniuses Sign Impact And Lost

Evil Geniuses has begun to finalize its 2021 LCS roster by bringing in a new top laner and a new ADC.

Evil Geniuses has picked up Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong from Team Liquid and Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui from the TSM Academy. Both players are NA residency and will play alongside Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnson who is expected to remain in the jungle.

Impact joins having spent the past three years at Team Liquid, though was made available for transfer after Team Liquid picked up Barney “Alphari” Morris from Astralis. Impact was previously at Cloud9, NRG Esports, and Team Impulse. He was also part of the SK Telecom youth system back in 2013/2014.

As for Lost, he should find himself back in a starting roster after moving to the LCS from Legacy Esports back in 2017 when he signed for the FOX Academy. He moved to the starting roster for the 2019 Summer Split before moving to TSM Academy in 2020.

Evil Geniuses are rumored to be signing  Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun from FlyQuest. As of now, the mid laner is still unknown, though Daniele “Jizuke” di Mauro is still contracted to the roster, though it is not known if he will stick around for 2021. One possible roster addition could be Tim “Nemesis” Lipovsek who is available for sale with Fnatic rumored to be signing Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer from Cloud9.

Evil Geniuses has confirmed the sale of Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon to TSM, freeing up a spot for Impact and likely giving them the cash to make more changes going forward.

LoL: MAD Lions Sign Armut And Elyoya, Secure Carzzy, Kaiser, and Humanoid

MAD Lions looks set to have locked in their roster for 2021 by bringing in two new additions while keeping hold of three key players.

MAD Lions are set to sign Turkish top lane prospect Irfran “Armut” Berk Túkek from SupperMassive and Spanish jungler Javier “Elyoya” Prades from Movistar Riders.

Meanwhile, they’ve locked down mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda, and bot lane duo Mayyás “Crazzy” Orság and Norman “Kaiser” Kaiser. This is despite G2 Esports allegedly looking at signing Carzzy while Humanoid was approached by a number of teams in the LCS.

Armut was one of the most hyped-up players in the Worlds play-in stage, with rumors aplenty that he would be moving to the LEC or LCS come 2021. With MAD Lions proving in 2020 that they can nurture young talent, Armut will be a perfect match for the roster.

Elyoya was one of the key players in the SuperMassive title win in the LVP, on a roster that is also likely to see players move to LEC sides in 2021. The side did not take a title at the European Masters Summer Main Event or the Spanish Liberian Cup, however, Elyoya is a promising jungler, and like Armut will be perfect for MAD Lions.

MAD Lions had a fantastic 2020, with the near-full rookie roster making their way to Worlds 2020 and showed a huge improvement in performance from Spring to Summer Split. They did fail to show their LEC form at Worlds, however, as it looked like some of the steam had run out when it came from online matches to the LAN environment of Worlds.

LoL: Immortals Secure Revenge As Starting Top Laner For 2021

Immortals is taking a shot with younger NA talent in 2021.

Immortals confirmed tonight that Mohamed “Revenge” Kaddoura will be their starting LCS top laner for 2021. He is going to be replacing Kieran “Allorim” Logue, who was a player that was recently promoted from Academy himself.

Revenge might be an unexpected pick up for many. He played with the FlyQuest Academy team for 2021, where the team didn’t have great results. However, he hasn’t had that much time to prove himself. Because of this, Revenge still shows promise as a player to the Immortals staff. With such a focus on developing NA talent this year, this move definitely scores some bonus points for fans.

For Immortals, this isn’t seen as quite an upgrade, but rather a chance of pace. They had a weak 2020 season and had many problems as a team. As a result, changes are crucial for 2021. While their whole roster isn’t locked in yet, bringing fresh faces aboard is a good strategy to go for and Revenge is a decent pick for them.

Stay tuned to ESTNN to keep up with all of the LCS and LEC roster moves as we officially get into the free agency period!
