Game Awards 2019 Sale Includes Big Discounts On Control, RE2, And More (PS4, Xbox One)

The Game Awards 2019 are happening tonight, kicking off at 5:30 PM PT / 8:30 PM ET in Los Angeles, and while the awards themselves are exciting, what better way to celebrate some of this year’s biggest games than with a sale? Best Buy is getting in on the Game Awards hype with a big sale on some of the Game Awards nominees and other critically acclaimed games, including Control, Resident Evil 2, and Devil May Cry 5. In addition, the retailer is offering some sweet pre-order bonuses on highly anticipated 2020 releases like Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The sale largely features discounts on PS4 and Xbox One games, with the best deals including Control for $40, Resident Evil 2 for $25, and Kingdom Hearts 3 for $20. We did see lower prices on some of these games during Black Friday (Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3 both hit $15, while Control was as low as $25 at one store), but if you missed out on those rare deals, these are still solid prices for some excellent games, especially if you need to pick them up before Christmas.

If you pre-order Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll get $10 reward credit back on your purchase (you’ll need a free My Best Buy account if you don’t already have one). In addition, you’ll receive one of three exclusive Cyberpunk 2077 steelbooks with your pre-order. This offer is available for the Collector’s Edition too–it’s back in stock for PS4 right now.
