Pre-orders are also now available for the physical edition. It includes the PlayStation 3 box for Yakuza 5, allowing collectors to finally have the full physical set of boxes.
The three Yakuza games were remastered separately in Japan, but fans in the west have hoped for a compilation that brings them all together. Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are remakes of the first two games, while Yakuza 0 serves as a stage-setting prequel. Yakuza 6 is the most recent and concludes the main story of the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio may not be done with the world of Yakuza, though. The recent game Judgment takes place in the same fictionalized setting, and Sega has teased another seemingly Yakuza-related announcement for August 29.
