Black Friday 2019 Deals: Red Dead 2 (PC) For $44, PS Plus For $42, And More At Green Man Gaming

Just a week before Black Friday 2019 properly kicks off, Green Man Gaming has opened the floodgates early for some new deals on games like Borderlands 3, The Outer Worlds, and even Red Dead Redemption 2. As a part of its extended sale, the digital games retailer currently has well over 40 games up for sale right now, with much more coming in the days ahead.

This sale features some recent releases, along with other games that have come out in the last few years. In addition to the three games mentioned above, GMG’s sale also includes Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Grand Theft Auto V, Tropico 6, and Civilization VI. On November 26, a new batch of games, which includes Sekiro and Devil May Cry 5, will also be added into the sale.

What’s special about GMG’s Black Friday sale is that certain purchases will also add in the Intel Starter Pack, allowing you to redeem an additional five free games from a select pool of titles. Some of these games include Resident Evil 7, Evil Within 2, Dishonored 2. The GMG sale also includes some great deals on gaming memberships and premium services. Any game purchased on Green Man Gaming can be redeemed on their respective digital distribution service. For instance, purchasing The Outer Worlds will give you a code that can be redeemed on the Epic Games Store, while Red Dead 2 will be playable on the Rockstar Games Launcher.

This sale doesn’t just focus on PC games, it also includes deals on gaming memberships to premium services. Notably, a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership is available for just $42.74, which is better than Sony’s official PS Plus offer for Black Friday ($45). So if you’re looking to top off your membership or try out a brand new service, then now is a pretty good time to dive in.

The biggest game on this sale is easily Red Dead Redemption 2, which recently came out on PC. GameSpot editor Michael Higham recently did a deep-dive into the PC version, and he was quite impressed with how it turned out. “Red Dead Redemption 2 is a case where its visual prowess is inseparable from its identity, which the PC version delivers on, given the right specs and the overcoming of technical issues,” he wrote.

Games eligible for the Intel Starter Pack

Black Friday 2019 Deals at Ebay: Great Pokemon Sword And Shield Bundle, Accessories, And More

Thanksgiving is next week, which means it’s time start to thinking about how you’re going to shop around during Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2019. A number of stores and online retailers have already announced what they’ll have on sale during the shopping holidays, and Ebay has its own share of great deals on games, consoles, and more.

Ebay’s Black Friday plans include a series of Black Friday “drops” every Friday at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET, from now through December 13. These include “a limited quantity of trending items,” such as the Nintendo Switch and Bose headphones. The retailer will also be offering major deals on its Brand Outlet page, which features items from major brands like Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, and Nintendo. This week’s drop was for an iPhone 11, but that one sold out fairly quickly.

One deal Nintendo fans should take note of: You can get last week’s drop, a Nintendo Switch Lite (turquoise) bundle with Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield, for $240. The Switch Lite normally sells for $200, and we don’t expect any discounts on it for Black Friday, so if you’re interested in both the console and the game, this is an excellent deal to jump on.

Ebay Black Friday 2019 deals come with free shipping and the store’s best price guarantee, which means you’ll receive 110% of the price difference on eligible deals and top products if you find the same item for less on a competitor’s website. The best price guarantee is available at Ebay year-round, but it’s sure to be particularly handy during Black Friday.

We’ll keep this article updated as more gaming, tech, and entertainment deals go live, but for now, check out an overview of the best deals available now below.

Pre-Black Friday Deals

We’re still a week way from Black Friday itself, but in the meantime, you can browse some of the best deals already available at Ebay below.

PlayStation Official Black Friday 2019 Deals: PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim Bundle, Controllers, And More

While tons of retailers are offering deals on PS4 consoles and games for Black Friday 2019, Sony’s official Black Friday PS4 deals for North America are tempting on their own. Some of these deals were already shown through various retailer ads, but some of them are a nice surprise–the PS4 Pro, for example, sees an excellent $100 discount. These deals start on Sunday, November 24 and end December 2 in the United States and November 28 through December 6 in Canada.

For those looking to grab a powerful console with a great library of games, you can’t go wrong with the PS4 Pro at its Black Friday price: $300 USD. No retailer ads have mentioned this offer as of yet, but we still expect you’ll see it at major retailers like Amazon and Walmart. Alternatively, an excellent PS4 Slim bundle will be available for just $200 USD, and it includes three PS4-exclusive classics: God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, and Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition. While the PS5 is slated to release next holiday season, that’s still at least a year away, and for budget-savvy shoppers, these console discounts are a welcome surprise.

Some of 2019’s PS4-exclusive releases will be on sale for just $20 USD, including Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition, which includes all DLC. You’ll also be able to grab Days Gone, MediEvil, Concrete Genie, and MLB The Show 19 at that price. Meanwhile, some older PS4 classics will be just $10 USD (down from $20). The PlayStation Hits collection includes God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, Persona 5, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and more.

If you’ve been interested in PlayStation VR, Black Friday is also bringing an excellent PSVR bundle with five games, and it’s perhaps the best offer we’ve seen on PSVR. For $200 USD, you’ll get not only the PSVR headset and camera but also vouchers to download some of the system’s best games: Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Skyrim VR, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Everybody’s Golf VR, and PlayStation VR Worlds. Alternatively, there’s a two-game bundle that includes Blood & Truth and Everybody’s Golf VR for $250 USD, but note that this bundle also includes two PS Move controllers (which can cost $100 on their own).

Finally, there are some less-than-stellar offers to be aware of as well, like the PlayStation Gold wireless headset for $70 USD (it’s already $71 on Amazon right now) and the 12-month PS Plus membership for $45. The PS Plus membership price is a particular bummer as it’s been offered for $40 in previous years, but it’s still likely places like Amazon, Ebay, and Newegg will offer it for cheaper during Black Friday.

Now that PlayStation has announced its official deals, we have a pretty good idea of what the best PS4 deals will be during Black Friday. Be sure to check out our guides to the best overall PS4 deals as well as the best deals on PS4 games and consoles and accessories.

New WWE 2K20 Patch Address Crashes And Community Concerns

WWE 2K20 has received a new update on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One targeting several “significant community reported concerns,” publisher 2K Sports said in a blog post. The patch takes aim at addressing crashes, improving stability, adjusting sweat, fixing missing hair and cloth, and more.

In addition to addressing community concerns, 2K Sports said the latest WWE 2K20 patch zeroes-in on “general stability and polish improvements.” These include correcting missing and/or invisible images, refining strike aiming and dash attacks, fixing issues surrounding six-man matches, addressing crashes when simulating Wrestlemania, and more.

Since its October 22 worldwide launch, WWE 2K20 has been marred by technical issues, from glitching hair to awkward animations to bugged models. The game received a patch earlier this month targeting its numerous issues in order to bring it to a more playable state. The president of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of 2K Sports, said he was “disappointed” in WWE 2K20’s launch but ensured that the team is committed to “improving the quality of the game.”

In our WWE 2K20 review, we said, “WWE 2K’s annual release schedule has felt superfluous for a number of years now. This has never been more apparent than with WWE 2K20, a game that’s not only riddled with frequent technical issues, but one that’s notably worse than its predecessor in almost every area–whether it’s the dull and unenjoyable combat, the fact half the roster look like terrifying goblin facsimiles of themselves, or MyCareer’s obnoxious and tedious story. This is the moment the WWE 2K series hit Rock Bottom.”

Amazon Black Friday 2019 Deals: Fire TV Stick, Joy-Cons, PS4 Bundles, And More

Amazon has been rolling out the deals ahead of Black Friday 2019 for a while now as part of its Happy HoliDeals sale, but the biggest deals are yet to come from the world’s biggest retailer.

As with Prime Day, Amazon’s holiday deals page includes a mix of Lightning Deals–which are only available for a limited time–and longer-term deals that should be available throughout the duration of this first round of deals (or while supplies last). The early holiday sale ends today, November 21. But starting tomorrow, November 22, Amazon’s Black Friday sale will officially begin. The week of deals will run right up until November 29, Black Friday itself.

Unfortunately, Amazon is keeping things vague in terms of the actual deals that will be offered, and the retailer’s press release mentions only discounts rather than actual sale prices. We already knew Amazon will be offering Nintendo’s official deals, including the Switch console bundle (older model) with a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $300. We also know Amazon will have select Switch games for up to 30% off and Joy-Cons for a lower price than its competitors. The announcement also confirms Amazon will have the holiday PS4 and Xbox One console bundles; otherwise, the retailer is only teasing discounts on gaming laptops and monitors, the Oculus Rift S, Bose headphones, and other tech as well as numerous other deals across other categories.

Amazon’s Black Friday 2019 schedule

  • Live Now: Official Black Friday week of deals; ends November 29
  • November 28-29, December 2: One-time-only deals will launch throughout the day on Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday

Live now: Gaming and entertainment deals

As Amazon’s HoliDeals sale nears its send, the pickings are slim, but the below deals (and plenty more) are still live now until November 22 or until they sell out.

Video game deals

Entertainment deals

Live Now: Amazon’s Black Friday week of deals

Before Black Friday itself begins November 29, another batch of deals will be posted in the week leading up to it. In addition to the official gaming console bundles and accessories from Xbox, Nintendo, and PS4, the online retailer has confirmed a wide range of Amazon devices will be on sale starting with several tablets on November 22, including the Fire HD 10 Tablet for $100 ($50 off) and the Kindle Paperwhite for $85 ($45 off). We’ve included the full list of device deals and pricing below, but please note these prices will not be live until their respective sale date.

PS4 Slim 1TB bundle with God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us Remastered – $200

PS4 Slim (1TB) with God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, and The Last of Us Remastered | $200

Another official PlayStation offer, the PS4 Slim holiday bundle is a great way to get your hands on some of the system’s best games. The 1TB console will $200 and comes bundled with Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, and God of War. It’ll be available at Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and other retailers.

Nintendo Switch (older model) with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle – $300

Nintendo Switch bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe | $300

No, we haven’t entered a time machine and gone back to Black Friday 2018. Nintendo is offering the same Nintendo Switch holiday bundle that was available last year. For $300, you can get the Switch and a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The potential snag with this bundle? It’s the launch model Switch, which means you won’t get the upgraded battery that comes with the newer Switch model released a few months back. That said, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an incredible game that normally sells for about $50.

Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons – $53.60

Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons (Gray or Neon Red/Blue) | $53.60

Nintendo’s pricey Joy-Con controllers will be down to $60 on Black Friday at many retailers, but if Amazon’s press release is correct, each pair of Joy-Cons will be available for $53.60, a full 33% off rather than 25%. It appears that only the original gray or neon red and blue Joy-Cons will be eligible for this awesome deal. Nevertheless, if you’re gifting a Switch this holiday or want to have some multiplayer fun at your holiday party, you shouldn’t pass up this deal.

Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet – $50

Fire HD 8 | $50 ($80)

Starting November 22, Amazon is kicking off its first wave of Black Friday deals with the Fire HD 8 tablet for $50. Don’t expect a tablet with the power of an iPad, but if you want something to read e-books, watch Netflix, or any other media-based thing, then the Fire HD 8 can handle it. It’s equipped with 1.5 GB of RAM and comes in 16 GB and 32 GB storage options.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Edition tablet – $80

Fire HD 8 Kids Edition | $80 ($130)

The Kids Edition of the Fire HD 8 bundles the tablet with a kid-proof case and a year’s subscription to Free Time Unlimited, which gives its users access to more than a thousand books, movies, TV shows, apps, and games suitable for children. It goes on sale for $80 on November 22.

Amazon Fire 7 Tablet – $30

Fire 7 Tablet | $30 ($50)

The Fire 7 tablet is Amazon’s seven-inch tablet, both cheaper and less powerful than the Fire HD 8. It’s equipped with 1 GB of RAM and comes in 16 GB and 32 GB storage options. It’ll be available for $30 starting November 22.

Amazon Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet – $60

Fire 7 Kids Edition | $60 ($100)

Like the Fire 8 Kids Edition, this bundle includes the Fire 7 tablet, a protective case, and a 12-month subscription to Free Time Unlimited. The subscription gives your kid unlimited access to a ton of child-friendly books, movies, shows, apps, and games. You’ll be able to pick it up for $60 on November 22.

Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet – $100

Fire HD 10 Tablet | $100 ($150)

The Fire HD 10 tablet is Amazon’s ten-inch–and most powerful–tablet. It’s equipped with a 1080p screen and 2GB RAM. It comes in 32 GB and 64 GB storage options but also features upgradeable storage via microSD. You can grab it for $100 starting November 22.

Kindle Paperwhite – $85

Kindle Paperwhite | $85 ($130)

The Kindle Paperwhite is Amazon’s most popular e-reader, with a screen that looks more similar to paper than a tablet. It has weeks of battery life and comes in 8 GB and 32 GB storage options. Starting November 22, you can grab it for $85.

Echo Show 5 and Ring Video Doorbell Pro – $190

Echo Show 5 + Ring Video Doorbell Pro | $190 ($240)

This bundle packages the Echo Show 5 with the Ring Video Doorbell Pro. The Echo Show 5 is Amazon’s compact smart display, similar in size to an alarm clock but with features like video calling, music and video playback, and Alexa voice control. The Ring Video Doorbell Pro, on the other hand, is a camera-equipped doorbell that you can put on the front of your house. It gives you video access to your front door with motion alerts sent directly to your phone, tablet, or PC. You can pick up the bundled pair for $190 on November 22.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K with Alexa Voice Remote – $25

Fire TV Stick 4K with Alexa Voice Remote | $25 ($50)

Starting November 24, Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K will be available for $25. It gives you access to a bunch of apps, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video, all streamable in 4K. The Alexa Voice Remote lets you control your media with your voice.

Amazon TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote – $20

Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote | $20 ($40)

On November 24, you’ll also be able to pick up the regular Fire TV Stick for $20. This gives you the same access to all of your favorite apps but in 1080p instead of 4K. It also comes with an Alexa Voice Remote, so you’ll be able to speak to your Fire TV Stick without fumbling with the buttons.

Amazon Fire TV Cube – $90

Fire TV Cube | $90 ($120)

The Fire TV Cube gives you everything the Fire TV Stick 4K does, in addition to complete smart home control, Alexa voice assistant, and a built-in speaker. Starting November 24, you’ll be able to grab it for $90.

Blink XT2 3-Camera Kit – $185

Blink XT2 3 Camera Kit | $185 ($250)

Starting November 27, you’ll be able to pick up Amazon’s three-pack security camera pack for $185. With its cloud storage, these cameras can store hundreds of clips for up to a year. The cameras also feature two-way audio and two years of battery life.

Ring Indoor Cam 2-Pack – $100

Ring Indoor Cam 2 Pack | $100 ($140)
