Fortnite: Play A Full Game Made Entirely Within Creative Mode

Fortnite is best known for its battle royale mode, which recently rebranded as Fortnite: Chapter 2. But there are other modes within the game, including the Save the World PvE mode the game launched with and a “Creative” mode for people who want to build things without being killed. Now, a team of Creative users have become the first to use this mode to make a full single-player game.

The game, The Fourth Dimension, was created by YouTuber Mustard Plays (who is, Kotaku points out, the brother of Fortnite’s creative director Donald Mustard), along with the four person team TeamCre8. The announcement video below shows off the map, the code for which is 1500-2565-8566. Mustard Plays promises that the game is can be a 6-10 hour experience for players.

The game is set on May 12, 3254, after the icecaps melted. There’s a full plot about a refractory network that was built to save the planet, but it also seems that people have mostly disappeared from the world. Based on the trailer, it looks like the game is about exploring the six worlds the team built, solving puzzles, platforming, and some light shooting. Clues that you’ll need to finish the game are hidden within the announcement video, too. Alternatively, Mustard Plays has created a full walkthrough video for anyone who gets stuck.

Fortnite continues to go strong, and just brought back daily challenges and patch notes in its latest update, patch 11.20.
