Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition Release Date For Switch Announced At E3 2019
Following a new trailer that aired during the Square Enix E3 2019 press conference, Nintendo and Square Enix have confirmed a release date for Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch. The game will release on September 27. Previously, Square Enix had only confirmed a generic “Fall 2019” release window.
As announced previously, the Definitive Edition features all the content from the original, along with even more character-specific stories. It also includes orchestral music for battle scenes and other key moments, while one of the other defining features is how you can toggle between high-definition and 16-bit visuals. The game also comes with Japanese and English voice tracks, so you have a number of options to play the way you want to.
Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition was first announced for Nintendo Switch during a Nintendo Direct briefing back in February.
