Cyber Monday PS4 Deals 2019: PS4 Pro, PS Plus, And More Leftover Black Friday Deals

Cyber Monday 2019 is nearly over, but you can still shop for some great deals, especially when it comes to the PlayStation side of things. Sony is still offering some great deals on PlayStation consoles, games, and accessories, though admittedly the absolute best deals of the year have unfortunately sold out. You may want to act quick if you’ve got your eye on something.

Accessory deals are relatively easy to find, and you can get DualShock 4 controllers for $39 each, PS Plus for $45, and the PlayStation Gold wireless headset for $70. The PSVR bundle with Blood & Truth, Everybody’s Golf VR, and two motion controllers is still available for $230 at Ebay. You also shouldn’t have an issue snagging PlayStation hits like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition for $10 each–those deals are in the PlayStation Store, if anything. More recent PS4 exclusives will still be on sale for $20, although Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition has been sold out frequently.

For more info, check out our guide to the best Cyber Monday 2019 PS4 deals, including the best game deals still available. Cyber Monday is the last day to claim Sony’s official holiday deals.

More Cyber Monday 2019 deals

Original story follows.

Sony has revealed their official Black Friday PS4 deals for Black Friday 2019, and they’re pretty tempting if you haven’t picked up Sony’s latest console yet, need a new one, or are just browsing for a second console in your home or office. Some of these deals were leaked ahead of time by various retailer Black Friday ads, but some deals, like a $100 discount on the PS4 Pro, are a nice surprise. These deals are already live at most major retailers in the United States, where they’ll end December 2. The deals will be live in Canada until December 6.

For those looking to grab a powerful console with a great library of games, you can’t go wrong with the PS4 Pro at its Black Friday price: $300 USD. Alternatively, an excellent PS4 Slim bundle will be available for just $200 USD, and it includes three PS4-exclusive classics: God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, and Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition. While the PS5 is slated to release next holiday season, that’s still at least a year away, and for budget-savvy shoppers, these console discounts are a welcome surprise.

Some of 2019’s PS4-exclusive releases will be on sale for just $20 USD, including Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition, which includes all DLC. You’ll also be able to grab Days Gone, MediEvil, Concrete Genie, and MLB The Show 19 at that price. Meanwhile, some older PS4 classics will be just $10 USD (down from $20). The PlayStation Hits collection includes God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, Persona 5, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and more.

If you’ve been interested in PlayStation VR, Black Friday is also bringing an excellent PSVR bundle with five games, and it’s perhaps the best offer we’ve seen on PSVR. For $200 USD, you’ll get not only the PSVR headset and camera but also vouchers to download some of the system’s best games: Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Skyrim VR, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Everybody’s Golf VR, and PlayStation VR Worlds. Alternatively, there’s a two-game bundle that includes Blood & Truth and Everybody’s Golf VR for $230 USD at Ebay right now, but note that this bundle also includes two PS Move controllers (which can cost $100 on their own).

Finally, there are some less-than-stellar offers to be aware of as well, like the PlayStation Gold wireless headset for $70 USD (it’s already $69 on Amazon right now) and the 12-month PS Plus membership for $45. The PS Plus membership price is a particular bummer as it’s been offered for $40 in previous years, but it’s still likely places like Amazon, Ebay, and Newegg will offer it for cheaper during Black Friday.

Now that PlayStation has announced its official deals, we have a pretty good idea of what the best PS4 deals will be during Cyber Monday. Be sure to check out our guides to the best overall PS4 deals as well as the best deals on PS4 games and consoles and accessories.

Black Friday, Cyber Monday 2019 PC Deals: $36 For Sekiro, Outer Worlds For $40, At Green Man Gaming

Black Friday 2019 is over, but the sales aren’t. The floodgates at Green Man Gaming are still open, offering deals on a variety of games–including Borderlands 3, The Outer Worlds, and even Red Dead Redemption 2. As a part of its extended sale, the digital games retailer currently has well over 40 games up for sale right now, including Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and Mortal Kombat 11. It runs through Cyber Monday until December 3, so you’ve still got some time to take advantage.

This sale features some recent releases, along with other games that have come out in the last few years. In addition to the games mentioned above, GMG’s sale also includes Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Grand Theft Auto V, Tropico 6, and Civilization VI.

What’s special about GMG’s Black Friday sale is that certain purchases will also add in the Intel Starter Pack, allowing you to redeem an additional five free games from a select pool of titles. Some of these games include Resident Evil 7, Evil Within 2, Dishonored 2. The GMG sale also includes some great deals on gaming memberships and premium services. Any game purchased on Green Man Gaming can be redeemed on their respective digital distribution service. For instance, purchasing The Outer Worlds will give you a code that can be redeemed on the Epic Games Store, while Red Dead 2 will be playable on the Rockstar Games Launcher.

This sale doesn’t just focus on PC games, it also includes deals on gaming memberships to premium services. Notably, a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership is available for just $42.74, which is better than Sony’s official PS Plus offer for Black Friday ($45). So if you’re looking to top off your membership or try out a brand new service, then now is a pretty good time to dive in.

The biggest game on this sale is easily Red Dead Redemption 2, which recently came out on PC. GameSpot editor Michael Higham recently did a deep-dive into the PC version, and he was quite impressed with how it turned out. “Red Dead Redemption 2 is a case where its visual prowess is inseparable from its identity, which the PC version delivers on, given the right specs and the overcoming of technical issues,” he wrote.

PlayStation Turns 25 Today, And Promises A Week Of Celebration

The Sony PlayStation, and the brand it spawned, has turned 25 years old–the original PlayStation was first released in Japan on December 3, 1994. Jim Ryan, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, has taken to the PlayStation Blog to discuss the console’s birthday, and has promised that the milestone will be celebrated.

As Ryan says, the PlayStation sold 100,000 units in its first day on sale, and was the first console ever to sell over 100 million units–it ended up selling 102.49 units, a figure that the PlayStation 4 recently surpassed. The PlayStation 2 remains the best-selling console ever, with 155 million units sold.

“We struck a chord with the gaming community because PlayStation offered experiences beyond what anyone could ever imagine was possible with a home console,” Ryan writes. “From the very start, we opened our arms to developers, providing them with the tools and technology to create beautiful, expansive worlds, and to experiment with new ideas. That approach led to the diversity of games PlayStation is known for, a true hallmark for our brand across multiple generations of hardware platforms.”

Ryan recalls helping to establish the PlayStation business in Europe, saying that they “focused on catering to local markets to ensure that a gamer in Poland would feel a part of the broader PlayStation community just as much as someone in the UK, or Japan, or the U.S.” He thanks PlayStation’s fanbase, finishing with “we can’t wait to celebrate what comes next with you!”

The post promises celebrations on the PlayStation Blog and across PlayStation’s social channels all week–we’ll keep our eyes peeled for interesting tidbits and potential sales.

While the PlayStation 4 has seen fewer huge exclusives in 2019 than it has in previous years, two major new franchises launched on the system this year–Days Gone and Death Stranding, both of which have been sales successes for Sony. As our Sony 2019 Report Card notes, though, PlayStation is clearly eyeing the future right now. The next Sony console, the PlayStation 5, is due to release in 2020.

[Last Chance] Black Friday 2019 Deals At Ubisoft Store: The Division 2, Rainbow Six Siege, And More

Black Friday has come and gone, but game studios and publishers with their own stores like Ubisoft are still offering Black Friday discounts through today, Cyber Monday. The official site has sales on video games and merch from a variety of Ubisoft franchises.

Most of the games and DLC let you purchase through the Ubisoft store and then pick your platform, so you may actually beat the deals available through the respective Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation marketplaces. The store is offering up to 90% off some items, though many games are more in the range of 40-60% off. The site also offers $10 off purchases of $50 or more.

The biggest discounts come to special editions, which means you can grab a game and bonus DLC for less than the base cost of many games regularly. That’s the case with the Division 2 Ultimate Edition ($24), Watch Dogs 2 Gold Edition ($27), and The Crew 2 Gold Edition ($25). Meanwhile, you can pick up Rainbow Six Siege for $8, Far Cry Primal for $7, and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint for $27.

Ubisoft’s large back-catalog is discounted too, bringing some classics like Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 below $5. The single lowest-priced item in the sale? The 2007 game Petz Horsez 2 for PC, which is going for a cool 50 cents.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Pass 1 Detailed: Price, Content, More

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is having a big week. The game’s massive Season One launches on December 3 alongside the introduction of the military shooter’s first Battle Pass. More details about the pass have now come to light thanks to YouTuber eColiEspresso, and it sounds like a substantial offering.

There are 100 tiers to unlock, 20+ of which are free for everyone. These tiers are unlocked by playing multiplayer or Spec Ops. Alternatively, players can spend 1,000 Call of Duty Points ($10 USD) to unlock additional tiers or all of them at once. It costs 150 Call of Duty Points ($1.50 USD) to unlock tiers one by one, which works out $150 USD to buy them all individually.

In terms of what’s in the tiers, they include things like operator skins, weapon XP, emblems, calling cards, weapon blueprints, and Call of Duty Points. The Battle Pass also includes two weapons, the Ram-7 assault rifle and the Holger-26 rifle. These are both available by tier 31, so the grind isn’t too extensive for players who don’t want to spend money to get them right away.

According to eColiEspresso’s conversations with Infinity Ward, it should take about one hour to unlock each tier, so about 100 hours to lock all the tiers in the Battle Pass. The two big ticket items–the weapons–are available by tier 31, so it should take around 30 hours to get them. As always, your mileage will vary depending on how you play and how much double XP you might have.

Check out the video below to see the Battle Pass in action and learn lots more about it.

Cyber Monday The Outer Worlds Deals: Play It On Xbox One Or PC For Just $1

With all the Cyber Monday deals going around today, you might forget that some of the best deals are right under your nose. There are a ton of deals going around for games that drop games to under half of their MSRP, but there’s one that lets you play The Outer Worlds, the recently-released space RPG from Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment for just one $1, which is practically free.

Yes, if you have an Xbox One or PC, the best Cyber Monday deal on the game is arguably through Xbox Game Pass, where it’s free to play. New subscribers can get a three-month Game Pass Ultimate membership–which includes Xbox Live Gold along with Game Pass for both console and PC–for just $1 as part of Microsoft’s Black Friday sale, and The Outer Worlds is part of the subscription’s collection. That should be more than enough time to play through the entire game. If you’re looking to add it to your library permanently, though, some stores have some nice discounts. Make sure you cancel your subscription after you’ve finished the game if you don’t plan to play other games on the service, like Gears 5 or The Outer Wilds, in the near future.

The Outer Worlds (PS4, Xbox One, PC) Black Friday deals

The Outer Worlds Best Cyber Monday 2019 Deals

Right now, Best Buy and Amazon have the best deal on The Outer Worlds on PS4 and Xbox One. Both currently have it listed for $35 on their site, though supplies have been running out over the weekend. Otherwise, the best deals on The Outer Worlds are actually for the digital versions for consoles and PC (usually physical copies will get markdowns first). For PS4, your best bet is to grab it in PSN’s Black Friday sale for $45 and download directly from the PlayStation Store.

You can get a digital copy for cheap on Xbox One–Amazon has a digital code available for just $40, which beats out the Xbox Store price.

Finally, for PC, you have several good options. The Outer Worlds is $44.39 as part of Fanatical’s Black Friday sale, but by using our exclusive promo code GAMESPOT11 at checkout, you can get it for just $39.51, which is technically the lowest price currently available. However, the best overall deal may actually be at Green Man Gaming. If you purchase certain games during the Black Friday sale, like Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Outer Worlds, you’ll receive a code for the Intel Starter Pack, which lets you choose five free games from a selection of titles. You can find more info on that bonus at GMG.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One Free DLC Shown Off In New Trailer

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare expands in a major way this week with the release of the military shooter’s Season One of extra content. This includes new maps, weapons, modes, cosmetics, and more. Activision has now released a new trailer hyping it up, and it looks impressive.

Season One represents what Activision is calling the “biggest drop of free content in Call of Duty history.” There are a number of hotly anticipated inclusions such as a remake of the famous multiplayer map Crash. Check out the trailer below to see a glimpse of the new content.

The new Modern Warfare breaks from the series tradition of charging for post-release content with map packs and other extras. In Modern Warfare, all of this is free. The Season One launch on December 3 also marks the beginning of the game’s first Fortnite-style Battle Pass, which includes more than 100 tiers to progress through to unlock new cosmetic gear and more.

Activision has not shared monetization details yet, but it’s expected to work similarly to Fortnite where players can spend real money to speed up their progress through the tiers. Check back with GameSpot on December 3 to see a breakdown of the game’s microtransaction offerings.

You can see a rundown of what’s included in Modern Warfare Season One below, but note that not all of the content will be available at launch.

Modern Warfare Season 1 Free Content (written by Activision):

  • Crash (Multiplayer Map): The iconic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map has returned with all the flanking routes and action-packed rooftop encounters you remember.
  • Vacant (Multiplayer Map): An abandoned office, previously visited in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, leads to intense interior combat across the complex.
  • Shipment (Multiplayer and Gunfight Map): The classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map where fast and frenetic action reigns supreme.
  • Port (Ground War Map): Battle across massive shipping crates, cranes, buildings and streets in this unique Ground War map experience.
  • Cargo (Gunfight Map): An open-roof storage vessel for shipping containers, on docks of London.
  • Atrium (Gunfight Map): The centerpiece of a Verdansk palace, still intact despite the conflict raging nearby.
  • Additional Maps: Look for additional multiplayer maps as Season 1 progresses.
  • Reinforce (Multiplayer Mode): A hybrid of Dom and S&D, a single-life mode with both teams competing for control of three flags.
  • On Site Procurement (O.S.P.) (Gunfight Mode): A tactically rich 2v2 mode with a twist: Begin with just your fists, and gather equipment as the match progresses.
  • Infected (Multiplayer Mode): It’s hunt or be hunted in this survival party game mode!
  • Additional Modes: Look for more modes as Season 1 continues.
  • Bomb Squad (Special Ops Experience): Forces still loyal to Barkov have planted explosives around the city of Al-Raab. You’re here to defuse the situation.
  • Grounded (Special Ops Experience): Enemies have seized Barkov’s former airbase. Engage and eliminate them.
  • Pitch Black (Special Ops Experience): Infiltrate Barkov’s former estate and recover all required intel before an exfill in a Tactical Rover.
  • Just Reward (Special Ops Experience): Your squad targets the head of an enemy financial operation, hacking his data centers, and gaining intel.
  • Additional Content: Look for more Special Ops content as Season 1 continues.

Cyber Monday Nintendo Switch Deals: Get The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening For Under $50

Despite not having the incredible duo of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey (like it did in 2017) or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (which headlined 2018 despite in release in December), Nintendo has had a rock-solid year. Among the company’s first-party efforts are Pokemon Sword and Shield, Super Mario Maker 2, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and, of course, a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, which is having its fair share of Cyber Monday deals today.

What’s fascinating about Link’s Awakening on Switch is that it’s a full remake of the original, accurately recreating locations, dungeons, and boss battles with a new visual style. This game not only offers a nostalgic revisit for long-time fans, but it’s also a stellar way for recent newcomers to experience one of the series’ finest entries. The Zelda remake earned an impressive 8/10 in GameSpot’s Link’s Awakening review.

“If you haven’t touched a classic Zelda game in a while, Link’s Awakening will almost instantly transport you back to the ’90s,” wrote Peter Brown. “It’s simple, in many ways, but the orchestrated journey still conveys a sense of adventure, and this new version is without question the best way to experience it. And more than anything else, it will put a smile on your face. Remakes are a dime a dozen nowadays and often easy to overlook. Don’t make that mistake with Link’s Awakening.”

Link’s Awakening (Nintendo Switch) – Best deals for Cyber Monday

Best Cyber Monday 2019 deals on Link’s Awakening

Best Switch game deals

As a first-party Switch game that released just a few months ago, Link’s Awakening deals are still few and far between. That said, you can still find the game for little over $10 off its original launch price of $60. The best deal is currently at Ebay, where you can get a brand-new copy with free shipping for $47.

Link’s Awakening Amiibo

Best Amiibo deal – $16

To coincide with the release of Link’s Awakening on Switch, Nintendo also released a new Amiibo modeled after Link’s appearance in-game–and it’s downright adorable. This iteration of Link can be a bit hard to find online, but you can currently find it for $16 at GameStop. For comparison, it’s out of stock at Amazon.

Black Friday Xbox One Deals: Console Bundles, Controllers, And More

It’s unquestionable that the Xbox One has the most Black Friday deals out of all the consoles, and even though Black Friday is over, a lot of those deals are still in effect through today, Cyber Monday. Sales encompass items like Xbox One X and S bundles, controllers, and all sorts of accessories. If you’ve ever had your eye on something for the Xbox One, then Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2019 represent the best opportunities to get it at a discount.

Tons of Xbox One games are also on sale, including Grand Theft Auto V, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, and Need for Speed Heat, as well as the full Assassin’s Creed catalog. Make sure you browse Microsoft’s official site, the Windows 10 store on a PC, or your nearest Xbox to take a gander at all the savings.

Black Friday Xbox One deals

Xbox One devices are getting discounts of up to $150 off. All Xbox One X console bundles are going for $350, while all Xbox One S bundles are $100 off, with several of them now costing $200. This also means you can get the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition for $150–that system is bundled with digital codes for Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and bonus Fortnite content. Additionally, Xbox One controllers see lowered prices with up to $30 off, while Design Lab controllers get a $10 discount.

Microsoft is also offering new subscribers their first three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for only $1. Ultimate bundles Game Pass for console and PC, in addition to Xbox Live Gold. New subscribers will also get six months of Spotify, as long as they’re not already subscribed to the music-streaming service. On top fo that, new and existing subscribers get a free month of EA Access and three free months of Discord Nitro–like Spotify, you must also be new subscribers to both services.

Of course, a bunch of Xbox One games are on sale, too, including first-party games like Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4, and Sea of Thieves: Anniversary Edition. Third-party games, such as FIFA 20, NBA 2K20 Legends Edition, and Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition will also see discounts.

Xbox All Access returns

Microsoft also recently announced that the Xbox All Access program is back for another holiday season. Anyone who doesn’t want to pay the full price for a console upfront can instead opt for a monthly payment plan. The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition goes for $20/month, the Xbox One S for $23/month, and the powerful Xbox One X for $31/month. Each option runs for 24 months and comes with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the full duration of the plan.

The best part of this round of All Access is that you’ll have the option to upgrade to Project Scarlett, the new Xbox console that is scheduled to arrive next holiday. Xbox One X All Access members will be eligible to upgrade after 12 months, but Xbox One S members will have to wait 18 months. All-Digital Edition members will also have to pay a $20 upgrade fee.

All upgrades must go through the retailer you purchased your original 24-month plan from, and you’ll have to re-up to a new 24-month plan (with new terms and pricing). In the US, Amazon is currently the only retailer offering All Access–in the UK, customers can subscribe starting November 5 at Smyths and GAME.

Game deals

You can check out the full sale at Microsoft and see some of the best discounts below. These prices last through December 2, or while supplies last, so you still have a few more hours to capitalize.

Update: Amazon is now starting to price-match some of these early Xbox One digital deals, too, so if you prefer to shop there, make sure to head over to Amazon and compare prices.
